Dear My-Mystery-Yuletide-Writer:

Dear My-Mystery-Yuletide-Writer:

I know my journal is very bare... as you can see, I only use it for fic! Still, some of the stories I've posted might give you an idea of what I like. My fic preference is gen, unless otherwise indicated.

I already included some prompts in my requests, so I won't repeat myself, except to say please don't feel bound by any of the ideas I suggested - they are just ideas. If they trigger a story for you, great; if it doesn't click with you, don't force it - I'm sure you have plenty of ideas of your own that I would enjoy just as much... maybe more.

In case you came here looking for some extra inspiration, here are a few of my general fic likes:

I like stories that show me something new about a character, or remind me why I love them so much in the first place. I like to see people prove themselves, to fight for the people they love and the reasons they love them. I like it when characters grow. I like happy(ish) endings, or sadder ones with hope shining through. I love relationships, the dynamics of interacting with another person, and what it means to trust someone, people protecting those they care about and fighting for things that matter.

... Obviously I don't expect all of this in one story! You don't even have to include any of these if they don't work with what you have in mind. I am just super-excited that someone is writing a story just.for.me. Thank you so much, and I cannot wait to read what you come up with.

I love Yuletide, and I hope you enjoy writing the story you choose to write. Thanks in advance for making my merry Christmas even merrier.

Happy holidays!
